Love Among the Ashes | על עפר אהבה
Ein Dor Museum | 2025
In his second solo exhibition, Love Among the Ashes, Liebergall weaves together personal grief, biblical archaeology, and the trauma of contemporary war. Through video, drawing, and installation, he explores the burden of inherited history and the collapse of sacred narratives under the weight of modern violence.
Referencing ancient artifacts—such as the Mesha Stele and mythological motifs from the Ancient Near East—Liebergall’s works reflect on the uneasy ties between religion, warfare, and remembrance. His own figure recurs throughout the exhibition as a witness, burden-bearer, and symbol of resilience. Curated by Shira Friedman.
